Course Information
The following questions will be looked at in this session: -

•What does ‘learning through play’ actually mean, and what is the adult role in this?
•Should play opportunities be structured, with learning intentions defined by adults?
•Is it ‘play’ if adults have designed the activity?
•How do we observe children’s patterns of play and how can this information be used?
•Are we identifying schematic behaviour or ‘labelling’ children?

• A leading figure in the delivery of high quality early years training both nationally and internationally
•Gained broad and varied experience working with young children and related services and provision as a Primary School Teacher, Under Eights Adviser, Registration and Inspection Officer, Training and Curriculum Manager and Education Consultant
•Since 2005, worked freelance delivering training and undertaking consultancy work for a wide range of clients including Local Authorities, Schools, Further and Higher Education, Ofsted, Childcare and Health professionals
