We have employed supply staff from the Early Years & Primary Service over the past two years and have always engaged with confident, knowledgeable and enthusiastic teaching and non teaching staff who are always willing to go the extra mile!.

Course Information
Children’s speaking, listening and communication are now high on the early years and primary agenda. Without these skills learning can’t flourish. This conference will address objectives raised in ECAT and explores a range of strategies to promote and support high quality work in this crucial area by examining innovative and exciting ways of using stories and imaginative play to develop children’s language. It also considers the factors which contribute to high quality child/child and adult/child interactions, offering new ideas and inspiration.

Sally Featherstone
• A leading educational writer and trainer for more than 15 years.
• Specialises in the development of children from birth to around eight.
• Particular interests include child development, learning and gender, brain development and learning, progression and transition, communication, child-initiated and independent learning.
• One of the authors of ‘Carrying on in Key Stage 1’ series.
Ros Bayley
• Following an extensive career as an early year’s teacher Ros now works as an early year’s consultant, trainer and storyteller.
• Devotes much time to developing children\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s creativity through story, puppetry, music, dance and imaginative play, and has shared her strategies with practitioners both in the UK and abroad.
• A regular contributor to \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'Practical Pre School\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\' and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'Early Years Educator,\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'
